Advance your career through an innovative curriculum and experiential learning.
Gain the advanced skills critical to job performance and career advancement with Utica College’s online RN to BS in Nursing (RN-BSN) program. A leader in nursing education, this patient-centered degree features an innovative curriculum that develops you on multiple levels — intellectually, socially, culturally and spiritually.
Utica’s online RN-BSN is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Admission to the online RN to BS in Nursing degree (RN-BSN) requires an associate degree in nursing (ADN) from a regionally accredited program. Students must also have an active RN license or become licensed within 6 months of starting the program.
With New York passing the BSN in 10 law requiring nurses to earn their BSN within 10 years of initial licensure, now is the perfect time to take the next step in your health care career.
Nursing is a highly competitive field. Graduates of the Utica College online RN to BSN degree gain more than the credential.
Comprehensive courses in areas like pharmacology and pathophysiology provide a solid foundation for advanced practice roles, especially for those RNs who want to go on to graduate school. Coursework addressing contemporary issues in nursing and health care, and providing opportunities for experiential learning and leadership help to equip nurses for autonomous practice and be better prepared to respond to the evolving health care environment.
In addition to the Major and Required Nursing Courses, the student must complete sufficient elective courses to earn at least the minimum of 121 credit hours required for this degree. At least 60 credit hours must be in the liberal arts and sciences.
