B.S. in Health Care Management

Prepare to help others through a management role in health care — enroll in Utica's online B.S. in Health Care Management degree. You'll learn how to navigate the complexities of health care, laws and regulation, and technology and use expert business knowledge to deliver quality health care services while meeting organizational goals.


The 120 credit program is open to first-time freshmen and welcomes transfer students with a generous transfer credit policy.


Note: This program does not lead to licensure as there are no licensure expectations for medical health and service managers, only nursing home administrators.

Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA)

The online Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) is a transformative program that provides leading professionals, like you, with the tools and skills for continued success. You’ll build on your career experience, hone your leadership skills and learn new ways to improve health care from the executive level while still using a patient-centered approach.

 

You can graduate from this 36-credit master's program in two years. In some states, the program’s curriculum meets course requirements for Nursing Home Administrator licensure.

Nursing Home Administrator Certificate

The online Nursing Home Administrator graduate certificate offers coursework in management and long-term health care. Courses include ethical and legal issues, finance, gerontology, human resource management and nursing home administration. The certificate provides students with the fifteen credit hours of business and health care administrator content required to meet the educational requirements for candidates pursuing a Nursing Home Administrator license in New York State*.


Students who complete the Certificate have the option of applying those credits towards a graduate degree program at UC.


*In some states, the curriculum of Utica College's online advanced Certificate in Nursing Home Administration meets the course requirements for Nursing Home Administrator licensure. Potential applicants should check with their states' licensing agency or contact program admissions manager to verify the necessary coursework. Faculty advisers are available to work with students to offer guidance and help them meet the academic requirements of this field.
